In Ouhai, Wenzhou, the "lock capital of China", there are more than 170 large and small lock making enterprises, and their products are exported to more than 160 countries and regions in the world. In recent years, due to the overcapacity of traditional industries, some small and scattered enterprises are taking the road of transformation in the field of high-tech and high threshold intelligent locks.

The rise of intelligent locks has given new vitality to Ouhai's traditional lock industry. According to the data, in 2017, the lock industry in Ouhai District achieved an output value of 2.718 billion yuan, accounting for 5.1% of the total output value, an increase of 22.58%, ranking first among the six traditional industries. Five enterprises including Cassidy, GM, Tianyu, Zhongli and baodeli have been successively rated as "China's top ten lock kings" or "China's top ten smart lock well-known brands".
